The federal Consolidated Appropriations Act for 2021, signed on Dec. 27, 2020, includes a temporary, six-month increase in SNAP benefits due to the continued COVID-19 pandemic.
Also, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, supplemental SNAP benefits were issued on January 8. The supplements provided families the maximum benefit for their household if they were not already receiving the max amount.
