Kind and Determined Teen Loves Painting, Pizza and Dolls

Shasta is a happy go lucky 16-year-old who loves the color red. No one is a stranger for long as Shasta is very friendly and trusting with just about anyone she meets. She enjoys playing with dolls and is very nurturing when she pretends to be the mother or teacher.

One of Shasta's favorite things to do is paint. She will easily remain seated with a paintbrush and paper for hours at a time. Shasta is not hard to please when it comes to food, as she enjoys pizza, soda and fast foods!

Shasta has a determined personality that keeps her motivated and working to improve her social skills and daily chores. She will need a family who is willing and able to advocate for services that meet her unique needs. She is currently in the 10th grade and her determination to learn shows in her school work.

Shasta would thrive in a single parent home of a mother who is able to share all the love and attention she deserves. Shasta has a beautiful spirit and brings joy to everyone she meets.

For additional information about Shasta, or other children in need of adoption, call the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services at 1 (800) 259-3428. If you are interested in providing a safe and stable home for a child who needs one, please call today or visit www.dcfs.louisiana.gov.
